You’re right, actually. I was thinking today about how such an unreasonable target weight is only ever going to impede my  progress. I suppose letting go of such things is a part of “In recovery.” A phrase that has just sparked a rant of sorts in my brain, which I will spare you. 

You didn’t choose the culturally imposed phrasing.

If you’re wondering, I would have chose “You say that you are attempting to relearn how to process and conduct daily life…”

BAD GIRLS DO IT WELL

The Gulabi gang is a group of women vigilantes active across North India. It is named after the pink saris worn by its members. The group was founded as a response to widespread domestic abuse and other violence against women. Gulabis visit abusive husbands and beat them with bamboo sticks. In 2008, they stormed an electricity office and forced officials to restore the power they had cut to extract bribes. The Gulabis have also stopped child marriages and protested dowry and female illiteracy.

‘Don’t talk behind my back, don’t play with my honor,’ Yildirim said to the men sitting in the coffee house on the square. ‘Here is the head of the man who played with my honor.’

She then threw Gider’s head to the ground.”
